Food taken as medicine by grocery shoppers despite price hikes

Consumers are treating food as medicine to embrace a healthier lifestyle and prevent health issues. A study conducted by Deloitte’s “Fresh Food as Medicine for the Heartburn of High Prices” showed that 84% of the US population takes health and wellness into account before spending their money on fresh produce. 75% informed us that they are tapping into personalised nutrition. 55% of the respondents said they would be willing to spend more money to get food that is good for their health. The total subjects of the study were 2054 in number. 75% of the people who participated in the poll were of the view that the right foods can be the best medicine.
