Google Cloud and Redox partner to accelerate healthcare data exchange

Redox is collaborating with Google Cloud to make healthcare data exchange easier for health insurers, providers, and digital health companies. Redox is an electronic health record integration startup that connects payers, providers, and products to health record systems and other healthcare data sources via a platform. Redox will duplicate its platform on Google Cloud as part of the cooperation, allowing enterprises to seamlessly onboard health data from legacy systems into Google Cloud products such as the Healthcare Data Engine and Healthcare API. The collaboration allows providers and health plans to utilise their legacy system data in a single cloud database up to 80% faster than alternative options. According to Google Cloud and Redox representatives, the information required by healthcare organisations is frequently compartmentalised across different IT systems and buildings, making it difficult to access. Clinical data from EHRs must be ingested into HL7 Quick Healthcare Interoperability Resources in order to use Google Cloud’s clinical data repository and healthcare and life sciences capabilities (FHIR).
