Healthy food practices can potentially reduce world’s biggest health issues

The majority of the world’s most serious health issues are really related to diet. The main culprit behind mortality and disability around the globe is malnutrition.A bad diet is to blame for almost 11 million deaths per year. That represents a greater health risk than smoking, hypertension, or any other factor. Chronic illnesses linked to nutrition are on the rise across the world.

The most serious issue is the constant scarcity of affordable, nutritious food. In 2020, over one in three people worldwide lacked a sufficient supply of food, contributing to increased rates of malnutrition and overnutrition worldwide. Consequently, the United Nations claims that our efforts to create a society in which everyone has direct exposure to safe, nourishing, and adequate food have “not been generally advancing.” People all throughout the world will suffer unless we act. Every person has a part to play in this effort to move food and nutrition to the forefront of our approach to health.
