According to a report of The Times of Israel, a robotic system, developed by an Israeli company, Intuition Robotics, specialized for the social needs of aging people was launched in US markets after being in its developing and testing phase for a few years now. Identifying the group adversely affected by loneliness and social isolation, this AI-powered robot eyes on becoming a companion to aging people by interacting with them based on its ability to learn their daily routines. It can also house a vast range of data such as news, entertainment, sports, and health information. The bot performs these functions in addition to a host of other valuable functions such as calling for help in times of need, placing food orders, and playing videos and music on a detachable tablet adjacent to the mushroom-shaped robot itself.
