UPCAP’s Food as Medicine programme to combat food insecurity

The Upper Peninsula Commission for Area Progress (UPCAP) is seeking to address the issue of food insecurity among the residents of the region. This programme is a joint collaboration of 25 organisations that intend to leverage this initiative with a hefty funding by Superior Health Foundation of Marquette County. The said initiative is based on a health model design that addresses the issue of food insecurity for the individuals suffering from serious health conditions or encountering financial issues in the pursuit of accessing food.
