Chatbots in healthcare: Exploring the potential of AI in revolutionising medical practises

One presentation focused on using ChatGPT to assist infectious disease specialists in diagnosing and managing diseases, while another demonstrated how language models can produce factual information grounded in real-world data. The third demonstration highlighted the benefits of designing robots or avatars specifically for different populations to improve patient understanding and engagement. Despite the limitations of language models, the event participants expressed optimism that chatbots could prompt meaningful conversations and empower patients to better understand their health.
