Digital health startup Caraway raises $16.8M in series A funding, focusing on accessible healthcare for Gen Z

Digital health startup Caraway has secured an oversubscribed $16.8 million Series A funding round led by Maveron. Caraway aims to provide 24/7 access to physical and mental health resources, specifically targeting Gen Z customers. The startup offers an integrated healthcare service with doctors and nurses available for text chats and calls, along with tools that help users manage their mental and physical health between appointments. The app is licensed to operate in 10 states and focuses on eliminating barriers to accessing healthcare. Founder Lori Evans Bernstein, inspired by the lack of access to care experienced by her niece, started Caraway to address the issue and provide a comprehensive solution for individuals seeking timely and convenient healthcare services.
