Chandresh Dedhia, the CIO of API Holdings, has successfully implemented data-driven strategies and automation to revolutionise India’s digital healthcare landscape. Initially tasked with standardising IT operations across Ascent, a pharma product distributor, Dedhia’s role expanded when API Holdings was formed. He focused on improving operational efficiency through standardisation and automation, which gained significant momentum during the COVID-19 pandemic. By building a common data lake and data warehouse, Dedhia enabled better decision-making, improved margins, and proactive market response. He also developed apps to address pain points, including a crowdsourcing app for market data acquisition and retailer onboarding and sales apps to streamline processes. Dedhia’s strategic initiatives, such as network overhaul, ERP streamlining, and cybersecurity investments, have positioned API Holdings as a frontrunner in India’s digital healthcare sector.
