GE HealthCare unveiled over 40 new innovations at the Radiological Society of North America’s Annual Meeting in Chicago, aiming to combat radiologist shortages and enhance MRI access. Showcasing devices like the SIGNA Champion 1.5T scanner with AI-backed capabilities, the company claims a 50% scan time reduction through technologies like Sonic DL, AIR Coils, and AIR Recon DL. Also presented was the latest FDA-cleared Digital Expert Access (DEA) aiding remote patient scanning. Notably, GE HealthCare showcased advancements in ultrasound imaging, featuring Venue Family ultrasound systems with AI technology for real-time guidance in capturing diagnostic-quality cardiac images. Amid the industry’s growing workload, the company’s collaboration with Sectra reflects its commitment to alleviating burnout. CEO Peter Arduini emphasised their focus on data integration for improved precision care, aiming to optimise workflows and enhance patient outcomes. With projected market growth of $10 billion by 2033, GE HealthCare’s current 29.3% global market share positions it for continued success.
