Google partners with Mayo Clinic to trial custom AI chatbots for healthcare

Google has announced a collaboration with healthcare provider Mayo Clinic to trial its Enterprise Search feature, which allows the creation of customised AI chatbots. As part of Google’s efforts to catch up with Microsoft in the AI field, the partnership with Mayo Clinic aims to explore how AI can revolutionise healthcare by streamlining tasks for workers and improving patient experiences. Mayo Clinic will utilise Google’s Generative AI App Builder and Enterprise Search to develop chatbots that can efficiently analyse and retrieve large amounts of data while adhering to HIPAA compliance regulations. The move underscores the growing interest in leveraging AI to transform the healthcare industry and presents investment opportunities in this rapidly evolving sector. Google’s stock has outperformed Microsoft’s in 2023, rising by 39% amid the tech market’s recent challenges.
